  • Tyrosine is a relatively large, hydrophilic amino acid used as one of the twenty naturally occurring amino acids for protein synthesis
  • Tyrosine is also a precursor for the production of a number of important hormones and neurotransmitters, such as the thyroid hormones and dopamine
  • In addition to being the main raw material of the organic pigment melanin, which is responsible for hair and skin color, Tyrosine also regulates the enzymatic activities
  • A deficiency of tyrosine causes a deficiency of dopamine and norepinephrine, which is associated with depression and apathy, among others

MORE ABOUT OUR TYROSINE POWDER

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that supports brain function. It can be converted by neurons in the brain into the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine (norepinephrine), hormones that are depleted by stress, overwork and certain drugs. By replenishing the noradrenaline in the brain, mental energy levels are increased and often a feeling of satisfaction is created. L-Tyrosine enhances certain neurotransmitters in the brain and is used to support stress reduction and depression. L-Tyrosine is converted in the body into other important biological compounds, including L-dopa, CoQ10, thyroid hormones and melanin. Tyrosine may also improve athletic performance. L-Tyrosine is an important component of proteins and helps form the bioactive factors vital for cell growth and maintenance. Tyrosine supplementation can improve sports performance in a number of ways. One of the mechanisms that may contribute to fatigue during exercise is an increase in central serotonin levels and an increase in the ratio of serotonin to dopamine. Tyrosine can help lower this ratio and compete with tryptophan (serotonin's amino acid precursor) at the blood-brain barrier. Increased dopaminergic activity may reduce the perception of fatigue. In highly stressful conditions, catecholamine levels can become depleted, and tyrosine can be particularly helpful in these circumstances.

NutraBio.com L-Tyrosine is a pure crystalline amino acid in free form, derived from microbiological fermentation. It is NOT derived from milk. The B vitamins pyridoxine (B-6) and folic acid can aid in the conversion process.

Our L-Tyrosine is fermented from non-GMO corn based glucose.
